Surprises in the Mail
I am the most impatient person in the world. If I've ordered something online, I literally hang around my mailbox each morning bouncing up and down hoping that today is going to be the day I'm going to get a big box (it's the small things in life).
I got 3 in the mail this morning and quickly plopped on the floor and ripped off all the cardboard and bubble wrap. I was like a kid in a candy store for the 5 minutes it took me to open everything up. Then I was a kid with the sugar crash as I realized it was all over in 5 minutes.
I thought I would share a few of the purchases here with you!

New Style Mint shoes
They told me it couldn't be done, the shoe had sold out and I couldn't order them from a UK IP address.
BUT I PREVAILED
Not only did I watch my email like a hawk for an 'in stock' alert but with my amazing Internet skills (I very intelligently repeatedly pressed the 'purchase' button) I tricked the Internet into believing I was in the the USA. Obviously a fool proof method.
Sick of my brand new laptop getting scratched and the fact that this puppy went on sale sealed the deal for this amazing purchase.
Yes it's purple and sparkly
YES IT'S AWSOME
My old Sigg water bottle was starting to look a little banged up (and a period of time with the lid closed and water inside gave off questionable smells) so I thought it time to be replaced. RIP.
But step in this Beaut!
I wanted a non plastic water bottle and my new brk fit the specs.
It's glass inside and has a weird but strangely satisfying spongy outer layer to protect it from my abnormally slippy hands.
I hope you get something exciting in the mail this weekend.

V.K.Rees Photograhy
Take one look at Vanessa Rees photographs and tell me you don't want to just eat everything. Computer screen and all.
I love the way that she has such a simple way of framing the shot but yet there are so many small touches that keep you coming back.

What did you do this weekend?
I ate Cevapcici (Serbian meat sausage).
I relaxed and ate ice cream
and was arrested at the Croatian border trying to sneak in without a passport in order to go see the following building site.
All in all an EXCELLENT weekend!

Went on an accidental epic bike ride where I got yelled at by an old man, rode through a 500m old train tunnel, went up hill A LOT more than I went downhill, ate a lot of flies (not on purpose) and was almost in an accident...multiple times
*Photo a little shaky as I was petrified to find myself in a 500m deserted tunnel with eerie dripping water everywhere and probably dead bodies in the walls. It didn't help that there was a guy following me with no shoes on either.

Rock with Rum
A friend of mine just introduced me to the amazing site of Drinkify.
Whatever music you are listening too, it will create a cocktail to go with it.
To be honest, they need work on improving the creativeness/tastiness of the drinks but it's got potential! (Iggy Pop is currently recommended with Moonshine. So enjoy at your own risk).
It does play the artist for you, so if anything, you have access to free streaming music.
I'm currently rocking out with an 'Alex Clare': Scotch, Egg and Arak-a Middle Eastern anise liquor (Like I said, needs improving).
Happy Friday!

My First Guest Post!
I'd thought I would give a little sneak look at my guest post over on Madame Squirrel! A room based entirely around the below Grant Featherston replica chair.
I absolutely love Madame Squirrel's new blog. You can't help but feel like your chatting with your good friend (and I'm not just saying that because she is my good friend). She has amazing taste in clothes and her blog is full of good Internet finds, beauty tips and my particular favourite- food.
Go check it out now!

The new Emerson Fry collection. What's not to love. I'm particularly liking the zebra top and the Onyx rings.

I'm a big fan of eggs but when it comes to making them esthetically pleasing I get a big fat whopping 'F'.
I came across this this post at Apron Strings via my weekly I heart Lux newsletter (full so amazing inspiration and suggestions)- use onion rings as an egg mold!
It looks like the perfect/ easy way to keep your eggs happy and round. Plus the acidity from the onion adds a nice bite.

Living it up Slovenia Style-ee
I thought I would share some pictures of where I'm staying here in Slovenia. It was a beautiful sunset last night and I managed to get out on the balcony and take some snaps! Sorry about the quality, they were taken with my phone.

Bring on Spring!
Came across these amazingly colorful wedges via. The Style Spy by Aldo. A great way to brighten up your wardrobe any time of year. Plus I'm sure everyone agrees that wedges are always much more comfortable than stilettos!

UP by jawbone
Hello, my name is Amy and I'm a measure-er.
I like to-do lists so I can measure what I need to get done that day.
I like calendars so I can measure how many days I have left till my Californian holiday.
I like to run at the gym instead of outside so I can measure how far and how fast I've gone.
But alas, I can't measure my health and exercise throughout the day so I generally end up eating a lot and doing little exercise (because when left to my own devices, I assume I'm eating very little and exercising tons).
BUT NO LONGER! Jawbone has developed UP- an all encompassing wristband that helps you keep track of your sleep and exercise.
This beauty tracks your movement and reminds you to get up and move around.
It keeps track of your sleep and when you're in deep vs. light. It even acts as an alarm and vibrates just at the right time in your sleep cycle.
The only downside is that it won't work as a calorie tracker. With the app you can take pictures of what you eat and keep a food journal of how you feel after each meal. However, it won't track quantity or quality of consumption, that's up to you.
App only available on the iphone.
