I've just come back from the most amazing holiday in Northern California and Seattle. These pictures make me want to go back!

Twinkle Cocktail 

Ingredients:
Elderflower Cordial (or liquor) + Vodka + Proseco = DELICIOUS! 

Delicious pastry from the local bakery, Twofish, in Sea Ranch. 

I finished off the whole trip back up in Seattle with a bike ride and visit to Red Hook Brewery. 

Ye Olde Marylebone Fayre

Twas Ye Olde Marylebone Fayre this prior Sunday and boy was it full of frivolity! 


Every year on Father's Day Marylebone High Street shuts down to cars and has a street fair (or as they call it 'Fayre'). All the local shops and pubs, plus some extra, set up stalls on the street and Marylebone becomes THE place to be. Live music, amazing food and Pimms galore- fun for the whole family! 

It is also a chance to discover new shops and products. For example Concoction, a haircare brand, where you can blend your own add ins with your choice of smell. 

The idea is interesting but I've used it only once so can't make a judgement yet. I'll let you know!

Glamping!

It's not that I don't like to camp, but glamping just sounds so much better!

Find it in BC, Canada they have 20 tents to choose from. Ensuite bathrooms, underfloor heating, flushing toilets and indoor/outdoor showers (okay, so not so much like camping).

We are here both days it was so good! Urban Angel has delicious breakfast and amazing cakes and teas. It is cozy and a perfect place to retreat from the weather in Edinburgh!

On my way...

To Scotland! For a 'wee' visit with my cousin and sister. I have just passed Newcastle and speeding up north. The weather is sunny, the scenery is beautiful & full of sheep, and it's hard to hold your computer mouse steady when on a train. 


Obviously, when I'm in Scotland, I wear only tartan eat lots of haggis and shortbread and drink ample amounts of whisky and Hendricks. 


While I'm up North, hopefully this Scottish inspired post will inspire you for your own Scottish weekend wherever you are.

Living it up Slovenia Style-ee

I thought I would share some pictures of where I'm staying here in Slovenia. It was a beautiful sunset last night and I managed to get out on the balcony and take some snaps! Sorry about the quality, they were taken with my phone.
